ARCHITECTURAL WORKS

Stephen B Whatley has been painting interpretations of classic and contemporary architecture for 30 years; and is noted for painting on location. Since 1992 he has been inspired by the theme of painting major landmarks in anniversary years. His great passion for capturing the ‘soul and spirit’ of a building has lead to both private and public commissions – notably paintings of Buckingham Palace for The Royal Collection, paintings of BBC Landmark buildings for BBC Heritage & his Tower of London series of 30 works; reproduced permanently throughout Tower Hill Underpass that leads to the Tower of London.
