Portrait Tribute to HM Queen Elizabeth II, painted in the 50th anniversary year of Her Majesty’s ascension to the throne, following the passing of her father HM King George VI (1895-1952).
Inspired by one of the classic Coronation photographs taken by Cecil Beaton. The artist also worked from studies of the Crown Jewels he made in the Jewel House during his Tower of London commission in 2000.
