Stephen B Whatley staged a major show of his paintings and drawings at The Arndean Gallery, Cork Street, London W1 in September 2007.

The exhibition featured an array of his oil paintings and charcoal drawings, of an eclectic range of subjects: Iconic tributes to Hollywood legends, landscapes, cityscapes, flowers and still-life, paintings of birds – and two Royal exclusives –the first public showing of his 1999 painting of Buckingham Palace, from The Royal Collection, lent by gracious permission of Her Majesty The Queen; and his 2000 painting, ‘Crown Jewels II’, lent by HM Tower of London.

Several of Stephen’s famous portrait sitters kindly lent their Whatley portraits , from their private collections including actresses Frances Barber, Sarah Greene, Sian Phillips CBE and Barbara Windsor MBE.

The exhibition received overwhelming positive response and yielded a Visitors’ Book full of heartfelt comments from viewers of the exhibition.
